Default Air Fuel Ratio Question

I know in cool air your A/F ratio is going to change up some. My car has a SD tune so there's no MAF to make the adjustments it would normally do if I was a stock engine.

From my understanding the higher the number the leaner the mixture is, it this correct?

During the summer months I average 14.6'ish on my wideband gauge. Last couple of weeks and it's been cold, I noticed it's been in the mid 15's to low 16's. Even after it's warmed up. Today it was high 60's and will be back in the mid 70's later on. It is still showing mid 15's.

Should I be worried?

Also how the hell do I know what plugs I'm suppose to be using? By that I mean the temp range of the plug? Currently using NGK TR6 plugs.

Yes, the higher the number the leaner. Ive found it to be normal for stock engines to run in the 15s for whatever reason. I think with the cooler air on a pretty stock engine it won't hurt a thing, if it did these engines wouldnt last 100k miles. For plugs look at the TR5s gapped around 35.

yea u will be fine at that afr. Thats what most consider a lean cruise to help with gas mileage. Really all u need is around 1-2% more fuel added to your VE to be back where u was. Once summer comes back around It should be back around 14.7.

As long as your WOT AFR is correct and your not pinging or knocking at cruise your fine. **** Ive ran my girls tbss up around 16ish without issues cruising.

I would run a BR7EF glug gapped around .32 on a setup like that.

You have any way to scan for KR? As previously stated, if there's no knock and it's still safe at wot it's not a big deal.
