Crank position sensor relearn
Hi Guys
I have question - I replaced my Cam and have been tuning my PCM (slowly). I was reading some old postings and somebody stated that you should perform a Crank position sensor relearn after replacing the Cam and doing tuning. When I have not done that and was wondering if I should do it or leave well enough along?
Thanks
Bill

The ECM will let you know if it can't learn the crank position - it will throw a code P1336 "Crankshaft Position System Variation Not Learned".
If you have no code, you shouldn't need to worry.
BTW - only a Tech II tool (dealer) or newer verions of EFILive software can do the CASE relearn as far as I know.
Normally it only needs to be done when replacing the PCM or the crank reluctor/sensor.
