Unhappy pcm reading question

my friend has a 99chevy silverado with a 6.0. can i read his pcm with my hp tuners without messing anything up or can i read it at all?

I believe they are completely different operating systems. I wouldn't even try to do anything like this as you won't be able to edit it safely even or if at all. Most PCM's calibration tables are in a different offset location so you could corrupt it even if it did let you read it and write it.

Since they sell one for trucks I think it is safe to say that it wont read at all.

HPTuners will only read the vehickes you are licensed for. Even if you have a copy of the file, you can not open it.

i have not tried to use the cable on a different year yet, but i know the editor won't open other files. So no real reason to try
