Default EFILive's New Scan/Flash Tool

If these guys deliver on their advertising, they may just set the standard for Scanning/Tuning software.

I wonder how many of you plan to go with them. It seems close, since they announced beta testing soon:

Besides a price break for EFILive users, I like it that they will use the USB port.

Also, a BIG plus is it comes with two, yes, 2 licenses for the VIN-Locked version. I will have two PCMs for my car and don't have to BUY an extra license.
(I had to buy two licenses to support a backup PCM, with LS1Edit). Of course, it will read all supported PCM's unlimitedly.

People with two LS1's of the same supported PCM will not have to buy an extra license. If ever your PCM were toast, you will not have to wait for or pay for an extra license to flash your new replacement PCM.

These guys act like they are us.

Part of outstanding customer service is giving the customer what they want.

It's definately very tasty. I really like the black box and analog input features myself.

Looks good on there being a few competive programmers available for the ls1 vehicles.

I wonder how this one will perform in relation to the ones available, and compare to the ones coming soon

They're Top Notch. I'm sure it will be the premier scanner and editor as everything they do is. Most companies, here in States, should take lessons from EFILive on customer support.

I'm anxiously awaiting the release.

I'm expecting it to be so far above and beyond everything else, it's makes the decision on which editor to get basically a "no decision".

There customer service is great. No matter how dumb my questions are, Paul never hints they're dumb. He has great patience.

Yep, Paul and the whole EFILive team are top notch in my book.

I asked if there was a way to change the default format for the cells in V5 and they came back saying not in the software. Then they tell me exactly where to edit the .exe file with a hex editor to do what I wanted.

EFILive is the premier scanner IMHO and I'm sure the tuner/programmer will rock also.

The million dollar question is will they support the 97/98 PCMs? You and I need that or it looks like we have to stick with edit no? I would love to have their editor, cause I have efilive already and would like to just have on cable for everything plus my LM-1 will be able to hook into it That's only if they support the 98,
J

That was my BIG question.

They will support it... they've worked out a solution to the "grey-headed step-child" PCM we have. The info is on their site. At first I thought they were having a 3rd-Party vendor handle it for us, but I misunderstood their explanation.

97/98 LS1's are in.

Yeah, if you've spent any time at all comparing the current scanner packages, it's easy to see that EFILive comes out on top. Their customer service and professionalism makes them an easy pick. One look at the screen shots of FlashScan on their website and it's clear that their package will undoubtely premier as the best tuning tool. Based on how well they listen to customers, I suspect that FlashScan will continue to get better over time... the guys at EFILive try very hard to fulfill feature requests, etc., so the future of the product looks to be very bright.
