Default With a big cam If you arent.................

Supposed to use your Trims to tune Part throttle driving how do you expect the trims to 0 out when transitioning to WOT

The bigger the cam the more your Ltrims won't be as acurate at idle. When cruising around normally, they should be around -2 to -10 and lock at 0 for WOT.

Idle is considered 8-1200 rpm?

Idle is what ever you set it at.

Most cars that I tune with a cam, I set it to 850-900.

As soon as you touch the gas, your ltrims will change some

Billiumss hit the nail on the head.

When are you going to go WOT from idle anyways? With that size cam you have to put some RPM into it before launching.......

I havent even gotten around to WOT tuning yet. I am still trying to dial in my PT driving and wanted to know what I could use to get it under control (besides a WB) if i couldnt use the LTRIMs.

Question

HumpinSS, I'm not clear, why do you think you CAN'T adjust your LTFTs, to just under zero, with a big cam?

The reasoning is the overlap will cause a lot of unburned air/fuel in the exhaust which will throw off your o2 readings at idle. So even if you got your ltrims to zero at idle, you'd probably be pretty rich.

EDit, think i figured it out, but need to do some playing. let me know if you can point me in a good direction Kevin

HumpinSS as soon as you get your Wideband you'll be able to verify this.
