Default LS1 Edit on a C5

How much of a difference is LS1 Edit on a stock 2004 C5. Is 200 dollars about the right price? Also what is so great about LS1 Edit?

nothing great about LS1 Edit... it lets you edit/modify the PCM ... HP Tuners -->

is a much better product ...

200 bux for a dyno tune w/ls1 edit? If so that's a great price... but on a stock C5 you're not going to gain much...

if it's 200 bux for the ls1 edit software and cable... terrible price... it will cost you 250 bux to add a license to the cable so you can use it on your car... that's 450 bux total... you can buy it brand spanking new for that...

Basically... the PCM has tables in it... that have values that control how the engine behaves at certain conditions... ls1 edit lets you modify these tables and reflash (rewrite) your PCM ... (and hope you don't kill it) ...

Power gain if they are good is about 15hp, if it's an auto you'll notice a big difference. A GOOD tuner can take .3 off a 1/4 mile in an bone stock auto.
