Question Ok my Surge Problem is the Yank SS4000 Converter,Hp Tuner guys inside Please!

I just figured out a couple of days ago ,What my surge problem is caused from It is my New Yank SS4000 Verter.I just got back from the Woodward Dream Cruise,by the end of that I was so pissed I wanted to hold to the floor and blow it up I get to a light and it just starts going crazy bouncing from 400 to 1100 rpms With HP Tuners I have played with the VE Table and IAC table and Nothing Clears this up So what do I have to do?Is it in the transmission TCC table? What should I idle it at?
Thanks any help is better than none
Scott

I'd think you would want idle RPM at least 700, and you
might want to mess with the idle airflow "floor" as well.
In fact with that high a stall you might be happier over
800.

I only have a little cold surge with my SF3000 so I have
not really messed with this. Problem is, with the light TC
mass and the minimal coupled load from the high stall,
the engine just responds too easily to the least little
IAC movement and the IAC loop time constant can't be
adjusted to stay on the right side of it.

Thanks Jimmy,I am sooo sick of this problem,I just cant do anything to this for a fix My Idle is set to 950,If I unplug the IAC when it first starts SURGING Its Clears right up.I did a search and found some info like this problem and I tried it all today ,I have a cold surge when motor is at say 103-140 degrees ,I can deal with that. But when we were at the cuise in traffic if I let off the break and coasted not touching the gas it was fine I so much as TPS 1% it was nasty(Bucking Bronco). Here is the post I found .https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...hlight=Surging
Thanks ,Scott

One thing to try, is logging the IAC counts. What to
look for is any indication that they're bottomming or
topping out (view it as a trace). I don't know what
the max IAC count value is. But, if the IAC loop ever
goes nonlinear the response goes right to hell. In this
case you might want to play with the physical air
control - too much time on 0 indicates excess idle air
I think, wanting a smaller blade hole, smaller IAC feed
orifice; too much time high indicates you want more.
Depending on how big the IAC feed hole is in your TB
you might want to enlarge; this would give the IAC
more responsiveness, perhaps improving the loop
time constant (more airflow per IAC "tick", at least
once the plunger is off the seat). Or, increasing the
base idle airflow by blade stop (preferable to blade
drilling, supposedly you can make the PCM learn TPS
angle) might lessen the IAC authority to screw up,
make things more stable.

One last thing that makes for a slow, whacked idle
loop is crusty O2s. As these get slow the idle starts
to yo-yo more. If the idle bounce gets worse the
longer you sit still, suspect this (exhaust cooling
and sleepy O2s that need more heat).

Ok,Here is the Scoop Jimmyblue,I reflashed my puter back to my Tuners prog from the Dyno.I dont have a surge Car drives very nice once I get it going. The reason I messed with all the Stuff I have read was to help the Cold and Hot Starts. When I got that pretty much under control I then get that stupid surgingS I am Thinking of Drilling my Hole in TB to .25 and Bringing it in with the IAC?Should I do this?
