Tuners near N Central Ohio, Toledo, Cleveland?
I had my car recently tuned at a sponsor(I will not name, they were fine)
when I had the Heads/Cam/Torque Conveter all installed.
I am having surging when the car slows down.
When I am at a stop, the car idles fine, the tack says 1000.
If I let my foot off the brake
and do NOT touch the gas and just idle around a parking lot, after about 15 seconds the car starts surging 600-1100 RPM instead of just staying
at 1000 RPM idle speed.
This also occurs if I am cruising at a constant speed and then let
off the gas and just coast for a long period, say 30 seconds. Once
the RPM's get down to about 1500 and the speed is down to around
20MPH, the surging starts out small and then grows. It will be
something like 1100-1300 for 5 seconds. Then it grows as I
am slowing down even more, to more than a 200RPM range.
It does this all the way until I come to a complete stop and
the surging is 600-1100. After I come to a comlete stop, 3 seconds
later the idle is perfect again.
If I slow down from say 50MPH quickly, there is no surging, but
this type of braking would just eat my brakes if I did it all the time.
If I brake "normally" like everyone else does "keeping up with traffic" type
braking, then I get the surging.
The sponsor I was tuned at did a bunch of changes, but to no avail.
He said since I did so many modifications, there will be consequences
that I will have to live with. Surging being one of them. He said he was
able to get my other issues worked out fine, which he did. He also worked with me for new shift points and some Torque converter locking/unlocking at speed. All in all I spent most of a day and he made 5 changes and I
did a test drive between each one until he fixed the issues, the
surging still remaining.
The sponsor is a LONG ways away, so I was wondering if anyone
was near by that could work with me to get the surging out
of my car?
Thanks.

for a small fee, let me know...
Email sent to LETHL_WS6 too...
