Default Speedo with Gen VII

Is there any way to get the stock speedo working after a Gen VII install?

I have been waiting for the interface harness to become available, but it doesn't look good.

Any suggestions would be great.

thanks,

Roman

Really? Have you done this yourself, or someone else?

That is all that is keeping me from installing it.

So I keep the stock compute in and just leave the speedo wiring intact.

Is there any way to get the stock tach working too?

I guess that I need to pull out the manuals and do some studying.

Thanks,

Roman

roman, turbotechnology did my install, but i have since rummaged around in it quite a bit and my factory wiring between pcm and speedo is intact.

js the gauges are run by the factory computer.. so getting it fired back up when stand alone would be more tricky as the gauges to not read signal straight from sensors, but from serial information from the computer (thats the way i understand it)

to get the tach to work, you just have to spice the cam and crank signals back into the stock computer (where they used to go) you have to do a really good job at this apparently... good connections etc.. but even then i heard that 'sometimes it just doesnt work'

my car was one of those i guess.. i hooked it up and it works.. but it generates some crank signal loss to the dfi box.. havent gotten further on it yet.. but have talked to other people who have it working fine.
