probably need to redo the sparks/wires somethings misfiring, get a scan tool that can do per cylinder misfire counter and you'll see it bright as day.

Make sure your plugs are torqued in correctly, after my header install, I noticed that one had rattled loose.

What does it idle like? If it's rough, then you can easily find which one is loose. But one is porbably just not on all the way. So it's only 'randomly misfiring'. Check all the connections. Many people leave a coil pack or plug wire off/loose when making that mod....

my mechanic said there was a good reason to use gm motorsport plug wires, no b/s fitment issues. i'll probably take him up on a set. I've heard some aftermarkets just aren't as precise.

I've seen a few cars with nothing wrong throw the random misfire code after installing headers. First check to make sure the plugs and wires are ok, if so you'll need to raise your misfire counts or delete the code.
