how to connect hp to new labtop

how to connect hp to new labtop I looked this up but couldnt find much on it. JRP

Anyway,
U guys with the new laptops what do u use to connect the serail port. Or what works best should i say. I seen a lot of people saying the usb to serial but not the belkin, i have the belkin has anyone had good luck w/ that? Also the website had a pcmcia to serial port but i have never seen this before and neither has this guy i know who works a cc so im assuming this must b very scarce.
I basically know a few things to use but would like to know whats the best.
