Default Can HPTuners read your PCM after LS1edit tuning?

I am looking at buying a tuning solution this week. I can't decide between HP tuners and Ls1edit.

I have a 98 Formula

The car has been tuned with edit before.

Am I able to read my Ls1 edit tuned PCM with HP tuners?

Also what brand Wideband do you guys recommend? I am going to start fine tuning my car on the street

cheers,
Chris

Chris,

I've also been told that you can use Edit on your pcm after you make changes with HP. So it sounds like they work well together. This would be important for me to still have my local shop as a backup if I screw something up

I am pretty sure that a tuner that uses edit can still lock your PCM and keep you out of it.

Chris said an edit lock is weak and only prevents other edit users and there is a possibility HPTuners will still be able to get past it (this isnt advised thought without thourough checking to make sure this is the case)

hmm Interesting. I can make sure my file isn't locked without a problem. Hard to decide which to go with. I HATE the fact you have to pay 100 a year for updates from both. Bloody cash grab!

One plus with Tuners is you can work on all 98's and updates come out pretty frequently
