Car keeps dying when I turn the A/C on.
It's having a REAL hard time finding idle when coming to a stop (right after pushing the clutch in) with the A/C on. I've tuned this out with the A/C off using the IAC tables. I bumped the idle speed to 950 with A/C on but it didn't really help.
What else can I do that won't affect the driveability when the A/C is off?
Thanks,
Craig

Might try bumping up the minimum idle airflow values as a
"backstop" to the RPM setting; log some idle airflow values
with the A/C off, and set the idle air minimum just a bit
below that (at your operating temp). Should not interfere
with the normal driving.
Also might mess with the decay time in the throttle
follower; if you brake down to 0 MPH with the clutch in
and it suddenly craps out at 1MPH roll, that says throttle
follower could help. less decay rate = "softer landing".
Though there's probably something about the basic idle
that is making the IAC have a hard time. If this is a cam
car, have you messed with the VE table yet?

Yes, I'm running the F13 cam. I've lowered the VE and upped the idle timing to clean up the idle. I've increased the RAF to 28 and "tuned" the IAC in gear table so it doesn't surge or hang when coming to a stop. But as soon as I turn the A/C on, when I push in the clutch and am coming to a stop or slowing suddenly to make a turn, it wants to die. Turning the A/C on when sitting still doesn't affect the idle at all. Also, after driving around for 10-15 min. with the A/C on it seems to learn itself out.
Guess I'll try the decay and see if that helps.
