kr when converter unlocks-tranny downshifts?
I've noticed that when I accelerate more to downshift sometimes I get kr when the converter unlocks, whether it stays in 4th or downshifts to 3rd. It doesn't do that all the time. I even logged two 1/4 mile passes with no kr. I get kr only from a roll and after the converter unlocks.
Could that be caused by a lean/rich A/F spike? besides, I've been driving my car like a grandma for the last 4 months due to another problem. Could that possibly cause some carbon buildup, which leads to kr?
Everyone please through your $0.02

I'm not sure what causes it, but I used to get it too on light throttle/high load unlocks down in the 1,100-1,200 range. I only got it when I started throwing cams in the motor - stock it was okay.
I just assumed it was too much of a load for the motor down that low, so I set the TCC to unlock at a higher speed and with less pedal. It's actually better all around now - the lock/unlock is hardly noticeable. I'm still on a stock converter though - not sure how it'll feel with the 3.5K in there.
