Carputing
I was looking at getting the ls1 edit from cartuning but I have no idea how to use the software or anything about the specific tuning info. Where could I find the info? Would it be hard to learn?

you'd be better off with hp tuners... http://www.hptuners.com/ it's simply better software... and there's lots of posts on here and on their message forum about the product... the help files are pretty nice too

http://ls1edit.slowcar.net/tuning.html is the site for the information about using ls1edit. It has some pretty good information. Most people on LS1TECH are pretty jazzed about HP Tuners. I bought ls1edit before HP was available so I am stuck with it. It works, probably just not as user friendly, and the support from LS1edit is
"we are programmers not car guys"

Is the support better with HP?
Just asking, I don't have it and just want to know. I have just got a 2k4 gto and did get a new license with ls1edit but unfortunately the magnacharger I put on it everyone is using hp. Not really worried about the cost. I already have 6 grand in the charger install. Whats a few hundred more

Go check out their forums and look at the developers'
post counts... follow the level of participation in the
detailed tuning sub-forum discussions and look at the
response time from when a "Help" forum question is
posted, to when it gets solved. You can get a pretty
good idea from that, with nobody's bias on it.
You could even email their support@hptuners.com
and ask them about what matters to you (like how
is their support for >1bar MAP and other boost-
specific stuff). I know I've seen posts from them
where they have changed key PCM tables / limits
for that kind of thing.
