Default tuning = kicking my a$$

I just started tuning my new cam tonight. I'm having a problem with lean creap. I crank and the air/fuel (wide band O2) is in the 14.5-15.5 range. After it idles for about 30-45 seconds, it very quickly (10-15 seconds) walks its way up to 22-24:1 range, gets REALLY unhappy, and dies. Now my guess is the computer is kicking into closed loop and trying to adjust. My problem is that if I pull the MAF wire it kicks back to the 14.5-15.5 range. When I plug the MAF back in, right back to 22-24 range and dies. So WTF?

I set the Closed loop enable temp to 250 but that didn't seem to help. My next idea was to go and set the PE enable at <1200RPM to 0% (always in PE) and then set the PE enrichment in that range at 0 (no enrichment). Does this sound right or is there something else I could be missing?

I have already done:

IAC Park = @40C+ to 21
Idle Air in Gear = @60C+ to 8.6

any ideas would be a help.

I am having the same problem. I have tried everything in Edit. Car starts and goes into 13:1's AFR and then 30-40 seconds later creeps up going lean off the scale and wants to quit

hey, I just pulled the MAF way back when and have gone SD for the past 2 months (no problems...drives like a dream)........it looks like the MAF just could not deal with the reversion at low RPM (idle)........SD solved all my problems
