How to tune LTFT/KR correctly?
I would prefer not to go about removing my MAF. Is there a newbie guide? from what I understand my KR should be 0 and my ltft should be -4 to 0??? Well, my kr, goes to about 2 or 4 and my ltft is about 6. AHHHHHH I've been driving around with it like this for a while, with no known problems. Please help. Thanks.

Adjust your VE table so that the ltrims show 0 to -2. After that check your KR. If you show KR in certain cells, reduce the timing in those cells. Be sure to check the high and low octane tables for changes in spark.
What Jimmy is saying, there is no real guide. Many of us have just learned as we go and searched, searched, searched. This forum has a ton of information on everything. Just do a search for LTFT and see what you find.

HPTuners scanner still plot out air and spark as if the MAF was still there. It uses the dynamic air pid if i am not mistaken.
IIRC the computer can figure out air from the ve value. Hold on let me get the formula

Couple more questions: Are you saying I should remove the MAF sensor altogether? I would rather leave it in there if possible.
Also, what is basis for starting programming. What I am doing, and please tell me if I am on correct path, is to tune car the way it is now, then post and ask what to do to gain horsepower. Am I somewhat on the right thought process? Thanks again.
