Starting problem - Suspect ignition switch
A couple months ago my T/A would not start. It would crank, but not fire. It sounded like it was not getting fuel or fire (not sure which). It has done this intermittently every since, getting more frequent. Every time but one it fired up before running the battery down. It does not matter if the car is hot or cold. Starting this weekend, it did it every time I tried to start it.
There is fuel pressure at the rails. After swapping the air pump and fuel pump relay with no effect, friend suspects the ignition switch. He had me pull on the key while turning it, and it fired right up. It has done this the couple times I have started it since.
Does this sound reasonable. Any other suggestions, thoughts, or ideas would be appreciated.
