Default Problems with OBD2 connection

My car threw a code earlier today, I tried to scan my car with an OBDII Scanner but it wouldnt ever scan the reader wouldnt even come on. I tried the scanner in my truck to see if it was the batteries & it worked fine in my truck. SO i got my wire tester & no where on the connector in my car has power running through it.. Any idea where I could start checking? I checked the fuses but all were fine. Someone please help! Thanks, Vann

BTW: It worked fine about 3 weeks ago..
