brown tailpipes after removing cats????

brown tailpipes after removing cats???? After i removed my cats my tailpipes turned brown on the inside and around the inside edge. i had my car tuned with ls1 edit after my cam install and the only changes were removing the cats. the car does smell like its running a little rich but i guess that could be from not running the cats. should i have my computer retuned or is this normal?
