Default Anyone running dual widebands?

I was wondering if anyone is running a wideband for each bank and how they are doing it. Could you just put a wideband in each bank and switch between them via a toggle? I read that its not a good idea to run a single wideband at the end of the y-pipe since banks A/F could very.

Yes
I would like to know also, this thought had crossed my mind as well. Granted it might be a little price to due, but you would be able to keep an lot closer eye on engine operation.

actually, I just meant to buy another cheap bosch sensor and place both sensors in the headers. Then, place a toggle in the car somewhere so you could flip the input to the wideband controller from one sensor to the other. This way you would not have to buy another wideband controller (ie LM-1)

it kinda seems like a waste of money for two sensors, unless you where true duals, and even then it wouldnt make a difference of what it would show because we dont have individual or bank to bank timing and fuel adjustments in the computer, if there was a problem you would see it in the strims and ltrims on the computer if they had a noticably differnt a/f ratio..

FJO makes a Dual Channel setup now - I think HumpinSS is running one. I should have one soon -ordered last week .

Here's a link to it -> http://www.fjoracing.com/index2.htm

you need at least a second heater circuit, or you will burn up the second sensor without powering it up.

The FJO setup looks nice, but the price even a hookup price is more than 2 LM1's

Both banks are powered up on the FJO - for the in-car meter the leanest bank is reported.
FJO uses premium (but costly) sensors.

AEM has a dual senseor unit too. I only have the single sensor unit, but I have no complaints about it. I personally think it has the nicest looking gauge/display.

Dual channel setup is the 2 sensor unit. AEM

I guess the only reason I thought of using dual sensors is because I dont feel safe just knowing that one side of the engine is running correct. I also dont feel that it is accurate if you put the one sensor in the Y pipe once they are pipes converge. Can someone please set me straight so I feel good about only getting one sensor. Prove Me WRONG!

For years we ran setups without ANY sensors or PCM.

unless you have a reason to question the fueling would be different on both sides of the motor, I don't see a huge reason to be concerned.

If you have a reason to think that your air fuel is wrong from side to side, such as 1 banks longterm fuel trims being way different than the other, then i would be concened with having 2 widebands.
