log should be .hpl .hpl is an extension HP Tuners used meaning HP Log
The VCM Scanner should open this file
So the latest download of HPT is asking what to use to open it? If so I would redownload it, and if it still does that email support@hptuners.com w/your cable ID and they'll make sure it's ok on their server

thanks.
oh , what exactly are you downloading? I thought you were downloading the upgrade? (where you enter your cable ID and password) ... that should be a .exe file (self extracting self installing file) ... where are you going to download an hpl file? (.hpl is just a scanner log)

im downloading the upgrade. but as its downloading thats what it says its downloading.
vcmsuite-1_5_0.exe.pl yes from the site i enter my cable # and password. I dont understand where the .pl is coming from either. I would have thought it would be a .exe file. ?? I'll try renaming the file, just deleting the .pl off of it and see what it does.

oh strange... .pl is generally an extension for a perl executable .. (I thought it was a typo and you meant hpl) try renaming... but I'd email support@hptuners.com w/the issue regardless as it shouldn't be downloading like that
