Default Will a LS1 PCM run a LS6 engine

Will a 1999 LS1 PCM run a LS6 engine, or would I be better to get an LS6 PCM and delete the electronic throttle body function?

If the 1999 PCM OS system needs modifying, how do I do that?

more than likely you will have problems.. there are alot of things different, and tons of codes will come up. you would be good to just get hptuners, www.hptuners.com and get the cable and purchase a 2002 corvette license and then what ever your 1999 computer came from then you can just make the 1999 into the 2002 ls6

I am using a 2000 Camaro PCM on an LS6 engine with a cable actuated TB. No issues.

I read where HPT Pro will allow you to do just what you're trying to do on their website.
