Default What programmer should I buy? If any??

I have a 98 Z28 M6, Current mods are

K&N FIPK
LT headers & ORY pipe

Thats about it, Looking to buy a programmer but after searching the site, it seems that all the hand held programmers are crap.

What should I buy, Im on a budget (small one).

Plus, I have the knock sensor code going off all the time, what's that all about?

Thanks for any info.

'98 knock sensors are crappy, they were revised for
'99-up. You should replace them.

Keep an eye out for somebody's '98 model HPTuners
up for resale; that should cost you less than a handheld
"game boy" retails, and be useful. I just picked up a
cable / sftwr for $300 (one truck license). If you buy
right you can always sell it for even.
