Default hp tuners, car won't idle when put in drive or reverse...

Car idles FINE in Park or Neutral, but when I put it in drive or reverse, wants to stall unless I push on gas a little. Can someone simply tell me what tables in hp tuners to look at and modify and which way in idiots terms? Thank you all so much.

I noticed you have a A4. Do you have a stall? What kind/size?

You probably need to raise you base running airflow and/or adjust your set screw on your TB. Log your short term and long term idle trims, and see how far off you are.

I have a 3600 stall. And I know I have a LOT of tuning to go, but car seems SMOOTH when accelerating. Doesnt seem as fast as I expected it, and it doesn't throw you back in your seat. Seems like it starts to go and as rpm's go up over 4k rpm goes faster and faster. Weird. I'll see how it goes after I get my a/f and ltft's down. I know and understand all that stuff, but can't figure out how to tune this damn idle in reverse/drive.

2much, I already set all my target idle speeds to 950 across the board, and still not working correctly.

I would look at logs of the IAC position (counts) and see
if it responds at all to the load-up from being put in gear.
The IAC should have to move to make up for load. If the
counts don't change then it's a control problem; if they
change but nothing happens, maybe a mechanical one.
Make sure its connector is good, etc. and that you are
not at the end of the control range counts-wise.

1.6 magnus. Just got back from lunch and for kicks, put in drive without pushing gas, it idled by itself. Shut car off, got lunch tried again, and won't idle in reverse or drive, so think that was a fluke earlier.
