car wont start after first try once car has been driven and warm ...i will start overnight

no vacuum leaks
new o2 sensors
new maf

I had a similar problem with a Jeep...turned out that the sensor that picked up #1 TDC was flakey when warm. If the PCM doesn't see #1 come to TDC then it doesn't know where to begin the cylinder firing sequence...

by won't start... you mean it'll crank but not catch?

When did it start? (after any particular mods?)

Any SES Lights?

Can you hear the fuel pump turn on? good fuel pressure?

things to check right now:
Do you have Fuel (perhaps fuel pump is failing?)
Do you have a good Starter (does it just click and nothing... does it do nothing when hot? elaborate)
Do you have spark


Along the lines of what CharlieLed said... LS1s have Crank and Cam position sensors... I believe the crank needs to be good... so a bad Crank sensor is a possibility but long shot... we need more details in order to start troubleshooting your problem

well engine turns and no mods...it just wont fire up but if you crank it again it will start ...like it wont fire up on the first attempt...kinda like if it wants to flood ...took out the rail but there is no sticky injectors that stay open

As Horist suggested, when it doesn't crank, check for spark and fuel.That will give a starting point, at least.

it does spark and fuel pressure is ok ...if you crank it once with the fuel rail lifted ... all injectors open like 3 times and then it goes sequential so im thinking it like floods the car
