Default Can 99+ knock sensors be used on a '98 LS1?

If I changed the wiring harness too, could the newer knock sensors be used on an older block/PCM?
I'm just wondering in case I fail to be able to de-sensitize them via HP Tuners.

Yes you should have no problems if you use the newer style knock sensors and harness...

I have a set in my 98 and have not seen a "real" difference in reduced knock. Looking back I would do it again yes... because the 98 have had known bad sensors.

make sure you do the RTV seal TID

Great, I wish I'd have thought of this 3 months ago.
I just put two brand new replacement knock sensors in while swapping in a new intake, old style of course LOL

Where's my sign

Close enough

Yes please, tell us about the desensitation!
I did it using some resistances, it works but who knows when it becomes unsafe?
I had to add 5 to 10 Kohm t oget raid of the KR.
