Default Idle

I have a 2000 SS with all the bolt-ons, 224/224 .581" lift on a 114 lsa cam and GTP stg2 heads. I've been messing with it's idle/hot start up problems FOREVER but just cant' seem to find what works the best. If I drop the idle to 850 it will do great on cold start ups and only work like 1/2 the time on hot start-ups. If I raise it a bit, it actually gets worse and doesn't want to start when hot. I do have a ported TB from mti that has had a hole drilled in the TB blade, I've read plenty about not doing that and doing the idle screw adjustment but if I'm just missing something in my tune I'd rather mess with that then have to epoxy/weld the blade or swap it out. I've heard of many people getting that cam with an a4 (which is what I have) to idle at 625-650, which would be nice to show off a little bit more lope since it's hard to tell I even have a cam at this point. Any ideas would be appreciated. I'm using Ls1 Edit to tune. Thanks.
