Default New software/old tune?

I had my car previously tuned by a shop with HPtuners and now I want to buy the software myself. Will I be able to save the previous tune and work with it or will I have to start from scratch and lose the tune? I would like to work with the tune from where it is at but I don't want to pay everytime I change tire sizes or gears. That much I can do. Any help will be appreciated before I buy this software.

You'll be working whatever tune is on the vehicle at the time you download it with HP Tuners.
