Default How does the PCM control C/C?

Swapped A4 to M6, Swapped PCM's and Engine Wiring Harnesses. Cruise Control Refuses to work. I was told that I should run a 12V switched circuit to the 32 pin on my blue PCM connector for the clutch switch. I did this and checked to make sure it was getting current when the clutch was out, and it is. I still have no c/c. I see that there are C/C enable and disable pinouts on the PCM. Could these be where I need to look? Any help is appreciated. I'm at a loss here.

edit: just a side note....If I put my A4 PCM back in, I get my cruise Control back, I just lose my Reverse lockout, and the speedometer is skewed. This tells me that it's not a fuse (although I checked anyway) and that power should be getting to the right place. The Clutch switch should be the only new thing that was introduced into the equation.

I think you can get your A4 PCM flashed to an M6 PCM so that being the case head to the dealership.

I have an M6 computer and it's not working. I guess it could possibly be the PCM, but I figured if I got my A4 flashed to an M6 it would have the same problem.

Yikes, Hope I haven't screwed anything up. I guess I'll try that next.

Thank you Wait4me, it worked like a charm. Been beating my head against a wall for a while trying to figure this out. This could be a problem for everybody doing an A4 to M6 conversion with the engine harness and PCM swap. I just cut the wire that I had run for a power wire to the #32 pin and grounded it near the battery. Fixed it immediately and nothing seem to be screwed up. Thanks again.

no problem, The signal is supposed to actually loose contact as you press in the petal, that way the computer knows what gear you are in. jes
