Professional tuners. I have never seen a professionally tuned VE table that was worth a crap. But I haven't seen any Aussie tunes...

well lets say well known speed shops, I found Carteks fairly interesting for a 224/112 cam.

If I rememeber correctly, this is also a open loop tune. I don't see how someone can get a open loop tune to have a ve table that smooth. IMO, it just isn't possible if it is done "correctly". JMO

He will tell you his car is driving the best it has ever driven even with the ve table looking like that. The only thing he has to worry about which i dont think he is getting is burst knock. Other than the he is fine

No. Its a open loop/SD tune. If I were to smooth out the VE table, then my afr would be all jacked up. You can ask Humpin, my AFR is spot on.

It appears they changed the IFR table and others to compensate. Also, if you look at the PE table and do the math, the car "should" be running about a 11.7 AFR according to the multiplier "if" the VE table is in fact dialed in. I'll bet money it isn't. Another thing is, why in the world would you only run 18* of timing at the lower rpm and top it out to 24* when the stock timing table for a 00 is more aggressive then that. If they were getting KR, then I would suspect the tune is way off.

While I am at it, why would you put the idle on a 224 cam at 900 RPMS??? You can get that cam to idle at 800 all day long.

yeah I noticed that they have it running pig rich and that the spark table is all messed up.

as stated before I wouldn't want anyone touching my stuff after reviewing some of these tunes. after seeing what Mr. Wright did for me three years ago I feel like some tuners are the biggest scammers in the industry.

I have a larger 224/228 .581 114 and it idle fine at 800.

oh I bet its because it would stall with AC on when its hot, well atleast thats what mine would do when I first put it in, other than some surge issue at low rpm I had no issues with the idle.
