how much is it slipping? at WOT or normal driving? Log your TCC Slip Speed, Trans input and output RPM, Trans gear, etc etc also there's a flag for determining if it's locked or unlocked ... need that too

What I am sure about that the converter is locked .... and I am having that mostly in WOT.

Need to see what the car's doing to say what the problem most likely is...

If TCC slip speed is a larger value (50+ ?) while the converter's locked then the clutches simply can't hold ... so it'd be the torque converter lockup clutches

if TCC slip speed holds closer to 0 when locked, but the output speed of the trans doesn't match what the output speed should be based on the input speed, converter status and trans gear then it'd be slipping components in the transmission itself and not the Torque Converter

You really need to log it to see where the slip is coming from... a bigger converter will slip alot at WOT at higher RPMs (10% slippage is pretty decent, I've seen some Vigilante converters slip as much as 20% at WOT)

Yep. Its called shift extension. A drag racers ace up his sleeve. You want this for the track. You don't want it for light to light driving. This is what differentiates a good converter from a bad one - can slip under WOT to generate good shift extension - is tight under light load for good road manners.

The higher in stall you go the higher in STR you need to make up for it. A good balance is 2400/1.8 2800/1.9 3000/2.0 3500/2.25 4000/2.5.
