Default what makes fans come on?

my stock computer does not do much anymore i'm running bs3.

i want my stock low and high speed fans to come on as normal.. what inputs does the stock computer still need to make this happen?

it allready still has the coolant temperature input, i thought thats all it needed but no dice... does it need to see engine rpm? i repeat that my coolant temp does show up on a tap correctly, fans are wired up like stock, and do not cut on.

any help appreciated.. let me know if i need to elaborate on anything.

If it were me, I'd either get a little Selco thermostat
and rig it to energize the coils on my relays, or just get
the Hayden box that you can find at Pep Boys (or could,
anyway; I had one but returned it when I got the Predator
shortly after). Maybe get a 150F and 170F pair of Selco
NO thermostats, a little relay logic and you'd have a
high/low setup, only one that keeps the -tank- at temp
instead of the block (thus leaving the thermostat some
room to work).

You could wire up manual fan switches. Pin 85 on the relay i think to a ground.

have you checked the relays, fan fuse ect?

BS3 should control fan outputs so you need 2-3 relays and you are good to go. I don't see the problem? Do you still have ABS? If no then why do you have the stock PCM?

i willl answer my own question now that i have found out.

anyway to answer above bs3 only has one fan output.

to have the stock fans operate normally with the stock computer you need to have engine rpm and coolant temperature.. once i got my tach working last night the fans started working normally again.

now i have low speed, and high speed coolant fans, and the bs3 cuts on my intercooler fan
