Default Change in elevation

Hi. A couple weeks ago I moved to southern California from Arizona. The elevation here is about 3,000ft less than it was in AZ. Somebody told me that I need to take my car to the dealership to have my PCM reprogrammed because of the change in elevation....is that true???

You should not have to. The PCM should compensate without issue. I have never heard that crap before.

The pcm compensates. I am at >7000 ft here where I see 10 kpa less of manifold pressure at idle and 20 kpa less at w.o.t. and my pcm handles it fine.
