Default HP tuners question

I have a 2002 Z28 and need a tune, and there is a local shop owned by a friend who is very good at tuning but doesn't have any LS1 tuning tools yet. I am in the process of making a deal with him, but wanted to know if the HP setup can be used on multiple cars of different years or is it licensed to your car only? Would HP tuners be best for this setup or would he want LS1edit or???

Thanks for the help!

He could purchase the Tunershop package from HP Tuners. LS1 Edit is very outdated and does not have a scanner. HPTuners is an editor and scanner all in one.

its licensed per year/engine meaning if he just wanted to tune ls1 fbodies he would have to buy 1 box with 2 licenses and 3 extra licenses depending on how he does it it would run him between $1300-$1450 for all years ls1 fbody.

yea, so right now, he could get two years for $500..... say, your year, and another popular year...
then for $199 each, you can get two more model years....
then after that, its 399 a addional model year....

basicly its suppost to be cheap for home users, guys who split it with one friend... or a small group..

when you start getting more, its a "shop rate"
