Default O2 cable extensions - F-Body - codes

I'm throwing an engine code after I replaced my front 02s. I lengthened the passenger side about one foot. I used the same single wire cable and press-on electronic connectors. (My rear 02s have been removed and I am running simmulators with a ls1Edit tune)

Everything worked great for two months or so...

I'll read the codes soon to confirm that this is an 02 issue.

If it is the 02 extension that is a problem, should I replace the passenger side with a stock REAR CORVETTE 02 sensor? I heard these have longer cables and do not cause issues with F-Body PCMs running in the front and not rear 02 sensor location.

Is this correct?

I doubt is has anything to do with the length of the cable. You may have a loose or corroded connection where you spliced, so it's worth checking out... you know make sure the wire isn't resting against exhaust and such.

I don't know what your problem is, but I do run the Vette O2's in my car & they work just fine. Much cleaner than using Extensions or doing what I originally did & make your own extensions.
