Default A4 Transmission question

what would case a tranny not to kick down into 1st when floored. Then 1.5 seconds later downshift...

Person says now there is no first gear even if the shifter is pulled into low

I had same problem, if you have HP Tuners or other check to see how much TPS reads at WOT, it may be reading low say 95% and your WOT downshift is set at 94%, and this closeness is causing the delay. That seemed to be the problem with my car, then when I reprogrammed I set WOT downshift to 90% and the problem has not come back. Although check fluid first becasue that is an easy fix.

fof nope stock cam

the car doesnt even go into first pulling off from a light. I cant even force it into first with either the shifter or VCM controls
