Default Doing 224 Cam This Weekend! Will....

I will have to wait for a month before I can buy the Crane Cams programmer. Is there any downside to changing the tables a month from now after my stock tune has gotten used to it for the time being? Any do's or don't about the tuning? Thanks for any advise!

No, you'll be OK with a 224 cam. Just drill the TB bleed hole until you get a reliable idle.

I don't want to drill the hole any bigger because I don't want things f@#$ed up when I get the Crane Cams tuner. I was asking about the spark tables and fuel maps being off after the "learning" during the maybe 200 miles before I get the program installed. I don't want to have a less than ideal re-program because the computer learning did something to the tables. Thanks for the input!

Cal is right (as usual), you don't have to worry about that. You'll just be making the hole a tiny bit bigger, and it will help until you get a proper tune. The computer can't do anything to the tables.

I doubt you will have to even drill the throtle body at all. I had a T1 on my Z28 and it was just fine doing nothing until I had it tuned. I also had a 225 and heads in my Vette at stock idle before tune and it was fine.

Good luck,

Derek

I finished the install and I LOVE the results. The idle stumbles a bit for a few seconds on a cold start, but no problem otherwise. I appreciate all the help!!! Thanks again.
