Trying to tune VE tables, but LTFT & STFT won't update.
After a long winter, I'm finally getting started tuning.
I set all the basic stuff (i.e. injector flow rates).
Then I tried tuning my VE tables.
I set the MAF fail freq. to zero (also unhooked the MAF)
Disabled the MIL lights for codes 101, 102 and 103
I copied the H.O. spark tables to the L.O. spark tables
I set the PE multiplier to zero
I disabled DFCO
Started logging, started the histogram, reset my fuel trims.
Now here's the problem. After ~35-40 minutes of driving, neither my STFT's or my LTFT's will moved from zero in any cell. I read it takes about 50 minutes or 100 miles, but I would think I'd see something in at least one cell by now. What am I missing?
I tried searching for this, but with no luck. Help, please

What parameters are you logging in the scanner?
The LTFTs and STFTs should be continuously changing and jumpers around to different cells the second you start the car up. Also, you might want to plug the MAF back in (leave MAF fail set to 0) so you can log you MAF Hz and Dynamic Airflow to calibrate your MAF (if you plan to plug it back in at a later time)

jimmyblue, I tried it with the factory closed loop enable temps and with them all set to 250 deg F (due to differences in tuning instructions I've read...). I'll go back and check again, but I'm sure that fuel trim learn is on.
RedHardSupra, no, I meant that I set the entire table to 1.000, thereby disabling PE.

to verify... you just disabled the light showing up for those codes, not the actual code right?
I'd try resetting the MAF codes to stock... and then see if your fuel trims move around... you may have disabled the codes themselves instead of just the MIL light ... this would prevent the PCM from failing over to the MAP/SD ... it may cause you to run open loop indefinetly too?

Man horist, I wish it were that simple. I've started my laptop like 6 times to vertify I only turned off the MIL light. SES is still active. I'm gonna try some different things tomorrow. Maybe I just didn't give it enough time, but I'd have figured I'd at least see the STFT's moving around.
