Default HPtuners ?

ok first off what do you guys use to clean your maf's with?

second i have support for a 99 and 2002 C5 and my understanding is that it is good to change your os to the 2002. Is this true and how do I do this?

Thanks

I've used electrical cleaner on a Q-Tip and gently wiped the wires, then let air dry.

You can grab a stock 2002 C5 .bin file , and do a full write from the flash program. (there's an option to write the entire VCM)

You want to take precautionary steps when doing this as this is the only time it's possible to make the PCM inoperable... make sure the laptop is fully charged, screen saver is off, power save options are off... make sure the car battery is fully charged.

Also I don't know much about the C5 .bin files, so not sure if the C5 will accept a newer OS like the F-Body's will... do the 99s have fly by wire/electronic throttle bodies? the 02 do right? that's the only big thing i can think of... I don't know if the 99s have this

tb are electronic on all c5's.
the only thing that I know is diffrent is the injectors went to 28 lb after 99.
I think that the tables are a little better on the 02 OS.

so I guess that I get a bin from a 2002 C5 and change the injectors to 26 lb and write it to my VCM?

Thanks

Back in the day when I ran a MAF i would use rubbing alcohol and a q-tip. Seemed to work well.

Need to be very gentle with the q-tip.
