Default help on hptuners options

well... it seems confusing.
I'm getting a hptuners for 2 cars.
00 SS
03 Z06

so it should be $500
Since the z06 will be a c5r + twin-turbo, was thinking for the 2-bar option.
extra $300
but from my understanding, i need the I/O extended as well so I can connect the 2-bar connector/sensor which is also required.
+150$ + connector/sensor

Heck... that's doubling the price of the tuner.
It doesn't make sense to me... can someone enlighten me ?

You don't need EIO to use our 2 bar product although it is highly recomended. At those power levels you will want to have a wide band in the vehicle.

The 2bar MAP replaces your stock MAP sensor.. it plugs into the PCM, not our EIO interface.

Well, for those two cars, how much would it cost you for one of those heralded "dyno-tunes?" Maybe $600-$1000??? And chances are it wouldn't be done correct, but with the HPT package you are describing, not only do you get to control the tune yourself (and the quality of this will depend on your level of understanding), but you also can negate the cost of being retuned and can spend as much time as you, the tuner, feel is necessary to dial in the perfect setup. Most of your tuning can be done on the street anyway, so then there's no dyno costs either. So initially you are spending about the same, but in the long run the HPT route will provide you much more value and save money down the road.

What he said The reason I spent money on the HPTuners was basically return on investment. I'm going to get a greater return on the initial purchase and be able to modify my tune any tmie I see fit (and tune other peoples cars for $$$) rather than a single dyno tune that will not change as I modify my car. Just my $0.02

wide-band is not an issue.
so I guess I cana do the job w/ $500 + 2-bar option for hte Vette ($300).
what exactly is the advantage of the 2-bar over the 1-bar, though ?

The 2 bar will allow you to read boost up to 14.5 PSI. Your stock MAP sensor will not read any boost.

Your MAF sensor will max out at about 5-6lbs of boost. Any point after that you will not have control over your fuel supply.

The 2bar allows you to remove your MAF and replace your 1 bar MAP sensor with a 2bar and tune your fuel with control up to 14.5 lbs of boost.

what happens when boost levels of 14.5psi are wanted.
asking because I think we'll try to go higher... looking for getting at least 1200+rwhp on the z06 on a forged c5r.
Thanks.

At that level you'll want our 3bar product which is still in its final stages of testing.

another question, is the 3-bar possible upgrade with the present version of hptuners being sold ?
or only possible to get the 2-bar ?
what is the difference in pricing from 2-bar to 3-bar... there is no mention on the www.hptuners.com website.
