Default rear vette o2's for longtubes...Is mine right???

I put on my long tubes and true duals....
decised to try just lengthening the stock one on one side and doing a 2002 vette rear o2 on the other for comparison...
I had to guess on the 2 dark brown wires and I think I got them backwards cause all I get is 450mv...
the vette o2 is seemingly stuck at around 900ish???
is it supposed to act that way or do rear vette sensors swing like teh stock camaro sensors do...

just trying to figure this all out cause I was told to try a rear vette o2 cause it has a better heater and has a longer cable to it...

I replaced both of mine a few weeks ago with the Bosch 1311 Vette one. I had previosly spliced my other ones and they were not near as good as these. Granted they had 70K miles on them too! LOL At startup there are always flat until they get warmed up then they make a sign wave up.

If your using IE then save the pic to your PC and open it with paint or something because in IE its really crappy looking. CYA

I had a 20 minute drive home... and no sine wave shape....
does our PCM go ino open loop automatically or something when one of the 2 sensors is bad...?? Like my one that I spliced I think I crosed the two I dentical Brown wires the wrong way...(I? marked them but I think they wiped off when I was stripping the wire)...so it only reads 450 all the time...meaning BAD....

Oh I bet you have a bad connection in your spice. As for the two brown wires I ran into same problem and i'm pretty sure it doesn't matter. At one point I went back and reversed them on one of my sensors to see if it made a difference and I didn't see that it did.

do you know if the O2's were good in the first place?

Go back and redo your spices.

Did you use any RTV gasket maker stuff anywere up stream from the sensors?

Because v8 f-body rear sensor connectors are different than v8 f-body front connectors (if I remember right...) The v6 front and rear connectors are different too.

Better to ask than to assume.

no the rear and front connectors on the V8 fbody are not different...otherwise my buddy would not have been able to connect it wrong in the first place...

Yes they are longer...about 3 ft long...compared to only about a foot with the ones on the camaro...
and yes they reach the connector with no problems at all

That's right... I had to break out my Helms to remember what the story is. The v8 is the same front and back. The v6 used a different connector on the fronts though... The one rear sensor is the same as the v8.

I remember now, that I stuffed my v6 fronts into the holes in the rear when I did the swap, just to fill the holes, but the connectors wouldn't hook up.
