Default where is the HP?

whats up,

I have a 98 Z28 A4 113K, I just installed AFR205,F13 cam, ls6 intake, ASP undrive pulley, 3:73 gears, 3500 stall, ls6 oil pump, street pro cutout, gutted cats. I dynoed it last week and ended up w/ only 375 HP. Next, I am going to get TB ported. My Y-pipe was custom made, it does not seem too efficient but still it I think it would not restrict that much HP. I also got it tuned. What do you think went wrong? It should be making more than that
Any ideas would be great
thanks

What was your KR and a/f? Were those being logged?

KR can subtract a lot of hp. Supposedly '98s are more susceptible.

I was at 36x unlocked and capped, 38x unlocked and uncapped, and 392 locked and uncapped. A little milder cam than yours. With 2-4 degrees of kr coming and going on top end with about a 12.5-12.6 af.

eh so with the cutout open it would probably be closer to 400 to the wheels...sounds about right...take it to the track.

No it went to 380 390 with the cutout opened right. I have a friend who got the Tsp 233/239 with the exact same problem almost with identicle #'s. The only this is that he did not have heads though we thought that he would hit 400 cutout closed. After I looked at his tune all of his ltft are in the positive range from 4 to 15. and they are supposed to be at -5 to 0. I am going to assume that this is the problem with his. This was done with a professional, so I am going to retune it and see what I can do.

It has a lot of miles, have you done a compression check? Was this on a dynojet or mustang dyno? Don't get too hung up on dyno figures, take it to the track that is the real test of how strong its running.

probably has little to do with it...from what i understand the trims are just a % of how much the computer is having to compensate to get to a desired a/f...if the a/f was good on the dyno at wot it probably wont change...trims just show how f'd up the ve table is and how much the computer has to work to get it back in line.

Here is the dyno sheet. The A/f ratio looks like its pretty damn rich. maybe it can be tweaked for another 20 hp

Looks like 12.0/afr..... it can vary but there is prabably 15 to 20+ hp to gain getting it to 13.0/13.3 afr.

I just spoke to the tuner who tuned my car and he says that the 12-1 setup will make more HP on the street. The 13-1 will lean out too much and cause Knock retard which put's your car into the limp mode timing map causing a serious loss of HP and possible engine damage.Leaning it out might give you 4-5 "Dyno HP". But I should definitly should be making more hp with my setup.

I wouldn't completely disagree with what the tuner told you. If the dyno can't accurately judge your vehicles mass, the vehicle may run leaner on the street. Usually about .3 -> .4. If anything raise it another 1/2 point across the board, but I doubt it'll gain you much.

I dont completely disagree with him, it is just disapointing. Just keep on moding, I guess
