Default Need some info....

Well, I SD tuned the car over the last week and the VE table is very close + - 4. For some reason I can't get it any closer. I go back and hook up the MAF with a holden program which closely resembled the calculated values and went for a spin. For some reason the car is popping at idle on occasion, LTFT are -12 to -16 in areas(crusing). What would cause this? Do I need to go back and recalibrate the MAF table??? What would cause the loud popping under no load, almost sounds like raw fuel is being burned in the exhaust.

So....
1) I know my VE table is very very close to 5k - above 5k it goes into reduced power mode for some reason
2) When I used the MAF calibration sheet, some points were higher, some were lower. There was no trend, does this sound right?
3) Could the MAF being out of wack be throwing the LTFT codes off? Basically saying I need to tune the MAF....

i put my maf back on to see what happened and i went lean by 10-15 all over the place just from the maf being on the car. you go into power reduced more over 5000?? i would think the maf calibration woudl show a trend in there, thats odd

I've never taken the MAF off the car, I tuned it in SD mode and its basically + - 4 up to 5k. When I reenable the MAF(reset the fail frequency) the LTFT goes to -10-16 in some cells and pops at idle. I can go back to SD mode and it runs fine.

yeha i meant plug the maf back up, but now its off the car totally. the problem you are having im sure is the maf calibration, did u try your stock setting or even scaling it to see if it would help at all??
