Default FAST-Can someone take a look...

Hey guys,

I was wondering if someone can take a look at a couple data logs and whole files and see what you guys think.

The setup is:

502 BBC
1000cfm TB
FAST b2b w/ WB
40lb/hr injectors
48psi fuel pressure

I also have a NX plate kit. That's where I'm getting stumped. The air/fuel is going WAY rich w/ the nitrous.

Thanks.

Lee

Lee send me your GCT and LOG files and I'll take a look.

I heard that people have gotten false a/f ratios from the FAST while using nitrous. One guy's FAST said it was pig rich like mine, so he kept leaning it out until the FAST said it was okay, but actually was WAY lean and toasted his motor.

What do your plugs look like? Do they show signs of the motor running way rich?

i dont knwo the demands of that motor but it seems like your injectors are too small, only 40# with a 48# rail pressure, i would think it would be lean

I get to 82% duty cycle w/ the 40lb/hr injectors.

I didn't check the plugs right after the run, they looked fine after 7 miles of running after the nitrous pass.

Unfortunately all that told you was how the engine was running at the end of those 7 miles. In order to do a read you would have had to kill it at the finish line & coast to a stop.

Could be a dumb question but what plate are you using? If for some reason it is a plate designed for a carb, then it could be simply because you have far too much fuel pressure for the way the plate/jetting is designed. The carb style systems are meant for no more than about 6 psi. Just a possibility I have seen it before.

I'm using a NX Stage 6 plate w/ EFI fuel jets. NX said it'd be fine w/ the EFI jets. I'm going to the track tomorrow for some more tuning.
