Mail In Tune?
hey guys,
theres no local dyno tune place for me. the shop has a dyno but they do mostly mustangs.
I'm getting LT Headers and a 150 NOS wet shot in the next couple of weeks. (or however long it takes me to install those damned headers!)
If I went to the dyno, got a copy of my A/F print out and such, would that help with a mail in tune or something? I'm not sure who does mail in PCM burns in the boards? I think LS1 Speed?
How would I want to do the dyno runs? On normal pull, no spray. and then one with a spray? I have the Full Throttle Tuner, so its taking out timing for me automatically....
just need some help with this new fangled electronics lol

Jason at Texas Speed did a real good job on my mail order tune for my cam. He damn near nailed it first try, just a touch rich (12.6-7 across the board) but I can live with that. He charged me $200 plus shipping. As far as the dyno pull, they should really only be concerned with the N/A Air Fuel ratio, since your going wet you'll tune your nitrous A/F ratio by changing fuel jets. Although it wouldn't hurt to send them the nitrous A/F ratio too. I would give them a call and see what they think, if it where me I would just send them a mod list and then hit the dyno once the tune comes back.

Check out at www.bigshotdyno.com. They are located in Hudson ohio which is not to far from sandusky. They dyno tune all LS1 and LT1 cars. They can give you a full dyno tune for right around $300. Give Them a call and They will set you up with a time and date. I tuned my 99 TA there and picked up 11 HP and 13 lb/tq on a completly stock car. There website is way outdated and shows mostly mustangs and such but they are very good with GM cars and trucks.
