Default All 90mm TB users inside....

Many of you guys probably read my post about calculating the effective area of a 90mm vs a stock TB. My calculations were questionable at first but after I went over them they are dead on. I took the stock effective area table and multiplied the entire table by .48. We just uploaded the new program and boy it sure idles great. If anyone else has a NW 90mm TB try this calculation and let me know how it works.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but this only applies to cars with drive by wire (Phil has a vette). With drive by wire, there is no IAC and it uses the throttle blade itself for idle control. That's why it needs to know the throttle area to idle well. You guys with f-bodys don't have electronic throttles.

well the fbody guys need to know the effective area as well, different tb flow differently so you cant tell the computer that at cell 64 iac count xxx it flows the same because they wont.

as far as i know effective area is the same on all these cars, now what the computer does with this after the fact is up to what kinda car it is

Fbody guys need to know IAC position vs area. Vette guys need to know throttle position vs area.
