Default secondary ve table

Ive been at this for a month and it seems to me that the secondary tables for ve for the 98s are more effective. Also turned off maf with program to tune and it is almost impossible to keep running let alone tune.
Are there different steps for the 98s with the 2 ve tables ???? Is my assumption correct regarding the secondary table??

Do a search on it. There have been several discussions on the correct way to tune when there is a primary and secondary table. With the maf off you will use the secondary VE and the low octane spark table.
