when i read ls1 edit etc etc, are these tunes that u send your ecu to a company to calibrate or are these things u can purchase and burn your own tunes? i know programs like standalones give you total control at a premium price, but what about just a basic tune for bolt ons, and nothing as "universal" or crappy like the hypertech.

all of the ls1 tuning programs, edit, live, and hptuners are access software, where you can adjust most of the parameters in the computer, but no starting points.

The current handheld tuners, hypertech, diablo, vinci give you different user adjustable parameters, some more range than others, but no full access.
