Find someone who can tune (lifetime) and it would be worth it. It would clean up the crap in the computer. You just need to find someone who knows what they are doing and comes recommended.

I got mine tuned from a guy on this board for $100 (lifetime tune meaning anything I change he will come back and tune for free).

Being stock, with the few mods you have anywhere from 5-8 I would think. But they should clean up the computer some as far as performance.

Your inthe same spot I was a few years ago. I went in with a buddy and we went in together and bought a 2 car license setup, best move I made. No need to look for a tunner, for the little stuff. Skip shift, codes, fans, you can take care of that yourself. And when you head for the big mods you will be glad you have it.

LS1edit is a product you buy to make changes (edit) in the car's PCM. Other products you can purchase that will edit the PCM are HP Tuners and Flashscan. I think you are asking if you should spend the money on a tune. You need to decide if the cost of purchasing the equipment or paying someone to tune your car is worth the cost. You have to have the editing software, a laptop and the cable to do tuning or editing yourself.

w/your couple of boltons you're not going to gain a whole lot... but a good tuner should still be able to squeeze a few more ponies out of it (heck even a mediocore tuner heh...) by getting the AFR and Timing optimized...

Wether it's worth the $$$ depends ... how much would the dyno tune end up costing? Figure you'll prolly pickup anywhere from 5 to 20 rwhp or so... unless you're getting a killer deal... if it were me I'd leave the stock tune in until you have more mods (or if they'll offer you a good deal for retunes)
